Education Code Section 60119 and 60422(6) states that all purchases from the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Program TK-12 shall conform to law and the applicable rules and regulations adopted by the State Board of Education.
 
In order to be eligible to receive instructional materials funds, the governing board of each district and county office of education is required to hold an annual public hearing and adopt a resolution stating whether each pupil in the district has sufficient textbooks or instructional materials in specified subjects that are aligned to the academic content standards and consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum frameworks adopted by the state board.

Las secciones 60119 y 60422(6) del Código de Educación establecen que todas las compras del Programa de Libros de Texto y Materiales Didácticos para Alumnos de TK-12 deben cumplir con la ley y las normas y reglamentos aplicables adoptados por la Junta Estatal de Educación.

Para poder recibir fondos para materiales didácticos, la junta directiva de cada distrito y oficina de educación del condado debe celebrar una audiencia pública anual y adoptar una resolución que indique si cada alumno del distrito cuenta con suficientes libros de texto o materiales didácticos en las asignaturas específicas, que se ajusten a los estándares de contenido académico y sean coherentes con el contenido y los ciclos de los marcos curriculares adoptados por la junta estatal.
